Hello - in the Husserl description, it mentions snaps7 "plateaux" and snap4, which I assume are audio demos.
Are these available somewhere?
Thanks
Gerry

Thanks for the question. The ensemble includes an audio synthesizer.
But really, the sound derives from layering of multiple polyphonic voices by the notes generated in Husserl. Husserl can create up to 256 simultaneous notes and controller values, all of which can modulate each other, and only some fraction of which need be output to midi notes, controllers, pitch bend, etc.
In the 08x series, all sequencer channels drive one polyphonic MIDI channel, which is sent to one synthesizer. The synthesizer can be replaced with others very easily.
In the 09x series planned for January 2009, Husserl will also be able to control multiple synthesizers in parallel, on different MIDI channels. This is more complex to configure, so it will be available as a separate file. Also please note, as new features and variations are added, the price goes up a little, but the new versions are free to existing subscribers.
A public video to illustrate how new audio tracks can be designed, as well as some additional videos on special techniques for Husserl subscribers, is being prepared. I could have released something yesterday, but I am endeavoring to improve the rendering quality and add a voice overdub with more explanation.

Hi !
Is this also the thread to ask for more snaps ?
Husserl is great, but sort of lacking in the snaps-department.
Thanks in advance,
Lex

Thank you, Lex. Husserl can certainly have more snaps. What kind of snaps would be good?

I really liked the way snaps were layed out in groups as in Hegel2.
Coming to grips with something as vast as Husserl would be easier, for me at least, with the kind of snapshot that would be reasonable to dissect and then go beyond.
So basically, any type would do, with a hint to "what's it all about" in the group-title.
Language barrier is kicking in, sorry.
Greetings,
Lex

Hmm. We discussed the groups in Hegel quite a bit. Do you have any categories in mind? What about:
Loops
Layers
Fugues
Songs
With something like this for each:
Simple
Ambient
Base
Melodic
Rhythm
Techno
Or maybe there is a better idea?
